Olwen Wilson is a global health strategy and policy professional with over six years’ experience in health systems strengthening, biomanufacturing, and access to medicines.
At MMGH, she supports clients to understand global vaccine supply chains and analyse supply and demand dynamics to plan for future vaccine manufacturing and delivery. Most recently, she has worked to coordinate research efforts into new vaccines, and identify dependencies and gaps in knowledge to accelerate a product’s time to market.
Prior to joining MMGH, she worked at organisations including Unizima, Dalberg Advisors, and ATscale. At Unizima, she managed a feasibility study for a prospective vaccine manufacturer in Nigeria, supporting strategic decision-making on vaccine selection. Her profitability analysis guided the client toward products that addressed market supply gaps while aligning with investor return timelines. At Dalberg, she advised donors, philanthropists, and research institutions across the global health sector. Her projects included developing a decision-making framework for a non-profit vaccine developer to align its scientific strengths with market needs, researching the impact of youth engagement in health research, and building models to track private sector investment flows into sub-Saharan Africa. She completed a secondment to ATscale, an international organisation focused on increasing access to assistive technologies, where she advised the Executive Director on grant prioritisation and successfully authored, published, and launched the organisation’s first grant calls for proposals.
Her education combines training in pathology and immunology from the University of Cambridge and a Master of Public Administration from the London School of Economics, where she focused on health economics and policy. In her free time, she enjoys cycling and photography.
