Rapid vaccine supply diagnostic for Latin America and Caribbean region: Scaling up of Immunization Capacities in the PROSUR countries

Abstract
As result of the C-19 pandemic renewed attention has been focused on vaccine manufacturing capacity and self-sufficiency. The PROSUR member states (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Paraguay) required an assessment of the available vaccine manufacturing capacity in the Latin American and Caribbean region to verify the need and opportunity for additional capacity to enhance supply security. The report provide an overview of demand and supply (manufacturing capacity) in the region, highlighting the main areas of risk and those where actions can result in improvement in access to vaccines.
