Case Studie
Support country access to Gavi funding
Accessing Gavi funding is a critical step for low- and middle-income countries introducing new vaccines and to strengthening their immunization programs.

MMGH collaborates directly with our locally-based partners and Ministries of Health to enhance the design, technical quality, and completeness of Gavi applications. Our approach combines global best practices with deep local knowledge, enabling countries easily prepare and submit applications, as well as respond to Independent Review Committee queries that allows securing essential resources to advance immunization goal.
Key Activities
Provided hands-on support in developing and submitting comprehensive Gavi applications for the introduction of new vaccines, including HPV, malaria, measles-rubella, preventive oral cholera, and rotavirus vaccines.
Assisted countries in preparing full portfolio planning applications, aligning immunization strategies, health system strengthening components, and vaccine introductions with Gavi’s funding frameworks and timelines.
Advised on strategic planning, budgeting, and data utilization to ensure coherence with national immunization plans and adherence to Gavi’s technical requirements.
Facilitated coordination and engagement among key stakeholders such as Ministries of Health, WHO, UNICEF, and other in-country partners to strengthen application ownership and alignment.
Outcomes
