Abstract
The Monitoring & Evaluation/Accountability (M&E/A) framework to assess progress was a critical element of the Global Vaccine Action Plan 2012–2020 (GVAP) and was seen by many as a game changer. This article provides perspectives on the design and evolution of the M&E/A framework over the decade, the challenges in assessing progress and holding stakeholders accountable.
