  • New Format
Goal
  • To conduct an independent evaluation of the INCLEN Trust childhood pneumonia programme in India.
Scope
MMGH supported an external evaluation of a project funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and coordinated by INCLEN Trust International, aimed at controlling childhood pneumonia in India. This included studies assessing the care seeking behaviour of families with children with pneumonia, and assessing case management and vaccination initiatives. The evaluation consisted of a desk review of all project documents, development of an evaluation framework and tools, conducting site visits, and interviews with the researchers, members of the advisory groups, the INCLEN Trust secretariat and the funder.
Result

The evaluation provided recommendations for the ongoing project and for the design and implementation of future collaborative projects. The report was submitted to the funder and published in the journal Indian Pediatrics.
