  • Focus Project
Goal
  • To support the WHO Regional Office for Europe to adapt the WHO global vision and strategy for immunization for 2021-2030 (Immunization Agenda 2030 – IA2030) to a regional context.

Scope
MMGH conducted a survey to collect and synthesize information on the national immunization priorities of WHO Member States in the European region, and supported the final evaluation of the previous strategic plan (European Action Plan 2015-2020). These findings were used in virtual consultations with the Member States and other regional stakeholders to agree on regional priorities and draft the European Immunization Agenda 2030 (EIA 2030). The final version of the document was submitted to the WHO European Regional Committee for review and endorsement.
Result

EIA2030 was presented to, and endorsed by, the WHO European Regional Committee in 2021.

Following on from this project, MMGH is supporting the process to develop an operational plan, and is drafting the biennial Progress Report for the first two years (2021-2022) of the EIA 2030 for submission to the Region Committee in 2023.
