Improving vaccine access in the South-Eastern Europe Health Network (SEEHN)
Client
Improving vaccine access in South-Eastern Europe Health Network member states through an improved knowledge base and procurement strategies.
Goal
- To increase the knowledge base of, and collaboration among, vaccine procurement teams from SEEHN member states.
- To identify opportunities for individual countries to improve access to vaccines and to take steps toward cooperation to improve vaccine access among SEEHN member states.
Scope
MMGH applied their deep knowledge of vaccine access challenges in low- and middle-income countries to efficiently understand country needs and help member states improve access to vaccines. MMGH conducted desk research and collaborated with the WHO Regional Office for Europe (WHO / EURO) to run a two-day workshop with procurement teams from eight member states where they could learn from global experts and each other. Support included creating the workshop agenda, identifying expert speakers, leading several discussion sessions, and facilitating drafting of the follow up report. The workshop consisted of a combination of lectures and group work.
Result
SEEHN member state procurement teams were better equipped with strategies to address challenges and improve access to vaccines in the region.
